The author surveyed the real status of time management skills of 1.021 students at University of Pedagogy of Ho Chi Minh city; University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University of Ho Chi Minh city; Polytechnic University of Ho Chi Minh City; National University of Ho Chi Minh city; University of Economics and Law, Vietnam National University of Ho Chi Minh city.

Research results showed that almost students correctly understood the conception of time management, but the expression, specific action in time management skills of students were only moderately. This suggested that it is needed to have specific ways to enhance the time management skills of students in order to adjust negative habits, practical actions when using time such as  identifying  target, a list of work, ordering work priority, estimating completion time,... Being methods should be actively trained to improve students’ skills on time management.
