Mtex Vietnam, a subsidiary of Japan’s Mtex Matsumura Corporation, is a manufacturer of semiconductor devices and automobile parts at the Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone.

Minister Quan said that the certification demonstrates Vietnam’s interest in developing hi-tech industries.

A company is certified as “hi-tech” when it spends at least 1% of its annual revenues on research and development and earns at least 60% of its revenues from hi-tech products.
