The study was conducted in 198 women with unexplained fatigue, a half of them used oral iron daily, a remained half was delivered sugar pills. "Fatigue score" would be recorded before treatment and after 12 weeks of drinking medications.
The results showed that, after 12 weeks of using iron pills, fatigue scores decreased 50%. According to Dr. Bernard Favrat at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, the iron deficiency can cause fatigue to women in childbearing age with unexplained and lasted fatigue signs, iron pills should be considered to supply. However, drinking iron pills too much can also cause bad effects to people’ health. |
