Currently, climate change has greatly affected to agriculture, according to Dr.Nguyen Lap Dan, Institute of Geography said. Nearly 20 years ago, drought and desertification phenomenon have been expanding both space and scale, particularly in the 4 key regions including North-west, Long Xuyen quadrangle, Highland and Central Vietnam.

The compounds can be mixed into arid soil, drought regions... to keep humidity or transport young plants, followers in the long distance without being faded.

The tested plants showed 100% efficiency (as for productivity, survival rate) in comparison with plants without using absorbent.

Previously, the compounds were tested with sandy and hilly soil in Thua Thien Hue, the test included cassava, peanuts and water melon... From the results showed that within 35 kg of polymer material / hectare would enhance the highest growth and productivity for the plants

Now, super absorbent polymer is in great demand from many various regions and successfully applied in Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan DARD, forest management units every year are booking about dozen of absorbent tons.
