When the photovoltaic materials are integrated with thermoelectric materials, the photovoltaic materials will directly transform the sun's rays into electricity and thermal material absorbs the heat of solar radiation, thereby raising high power generation efficiency of solar panels.

The new thermoelectric material is a science result of the 7th Framework Programme of the European Union (EU) (FP7), using modern technologies to synthesize nanostructures, mainly combine 3 large materials: synthetic silica-based materials, metal sulfide materials and telluro materials.
