Wind Power - Renewable energy is very potential in Vietnam (Photo illustration)

The workshop "Wind energy in Vietnam - New Opportunities for FiT new electricity price" was held on November 23 in Ho Chi Minh city. The workshop is an opportunity for the Germany to introduce its products,  services to nearly 100 companies and representatives of Vietnam. This is an opportunity for businesses from both countries to meet, exchange and connect directly to discuss joint venture opportunities of cooperation between the two sides.

Comments by experts showed that the opportunity to develop wind energy in Vietnam is very large, with over 3,000km of coastline, monsoon climate and average wind speeds reach about 6m / sec. Vietnam Government has realized this potential and aims to significantly increase the power output from renewable energy sources, including wind power, up to 6.2 GW in 2030.

After the workshop, the meeting directly connected Germany and Vietnam companies will be held to discuss joint venture opportunities of cooperation between the two sides. They also will visit CS Wind plant in Phu My 1 Industrial Zone, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, where producing the first wind electricity towers in Vietnam.
