At the announcement ceremony, Chau Thanh District People's Committee representative said Chau Thanh litchi garden area occupies over 50% of the fruit-growing area of the whole district with about 3,500 ha, almost each household grows litchi. Chau Thanh district has become the raw materials for the domestic market.

National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam (Ministry of Science - Technology) granted certification of trademark for Chau Thanh litchi products, it will be a new landmark to promote litchi reaching out to the world, to create conditions for development of Chau Thanh lychee brand.

Estimation of the first 6 months of 2016, Chau Thanh litchi exported to the US market more than 100 tons, while during 2015 it was only exported a similar amount. Although output is still modest, but thanks to litchi quality is stable at a high level, farmers still have good incomes.
