"Minh Hoa honey" is produced by Beekeeper Association of Minh Hoa district. At present, there are more than 152 households raising bees with over 13,000 bees, mainly domestic bees. Honey harvest usually starts from March of lunar year, yields from 130-150 tons of honey, bringing the average income from 120 to 200 million VND per year per household. The most beekeeping communes are Xuan Hoa, Trung Hoa, Yen Hoa and Hong Hoa. In addition, people also exploit natural forest honey with large yields.
