Genital tract infection of human papilloma virus infection and related factors at four districts in Can Tho city

Objectives of the study is to determine the prevalence of genital HPV and the HPV type in reproductive-age women and some relevant factors in a number of localities in Vinh Thanh, Co Do, Thoi Lai, Phong Dien in Can Tho city. A cross-sectional study was conducted on 512 married women from 18 to 69 years old living in four districts. All subjects have taken a pelvic medical history of spouse with facts related to HPV infection.
Results showed that the prevalence of HPV infection on 18- 69 ages group married women living in Can Tho city was 4.1%. 100% HPV positive cases have been infected by the high risk HPV type, in these, HPV types of 16, 52 was highest (22.73%), the second were type 51 (13.65%), type 31, 39, 65 was 9.1%>; other types were lower. There is an identify significant differences in the characteristics, such as age, marital status, relationship outside of marriage, number of sexual husbands but there was no association between age of first sex, occupation, living conditions, educational, economic status, number of sexual partners history of gynecological pathology, cervical condition with HPV infection, the number of child and the number of pregnant, the results of Bethesda and VIA. The prevalence of HPV infection detected by real-time PCR on 18- 69 ages group married women in 4 districts of Can Tho city was 4.1% and there is similarity in HPV type distribution in Can Tho city and in other regions.
