4 Vietnamese universities met international accreditation standards

The French High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCERES) has just released a concluding assessment of Hanoi Polytechnic University, Da Nang Polytechnic University, Ho Chi Minh Polytechnic University, University of Construction achieved international accreditation standard.

This is the first time in the Vietnam higher education system that university accreditation is carried out by an international accreditation organization.
According to information from Hanoi Polytechnic University, in the recent years, the school has actively applied the quality management system according to ISO9001: 2008 standards and has tested some international standard training programs to evaluate all aspects of the university's operations, and improve quality of education.
The training programs associated with international partners, Hanoi Polytechnic University has three programs of high quality engineers (PFIEV) funded by France under the protocol between the Government of Vietnam and France signed on 12 / 11/1997 and started in 1999. These training programs had been evaluated and accredited by the French Engineering Qualification Committee (CTI) in the period 2004-2010; 2010-2016. In March, 2004, CTI sent a delegation of experts to Vietnam to evaluate and accredit PFIEV's engineers after the period 2016.
Previously, since March, 2017, HCRES expert delegation came to Vietnam to assess and accredit the quality of its training programs. After 2 months, HCRES sent the draft assessment report to the school for feedback. HCERES regulated three rating levels: Failure, Conditional (require overcoming some points) and unconditional (5 year validity). |
