Over the past years, the deployment of scientific and technological tasks and the application of research results contributed to the remarkable changes in productivity, quality and efficiency in production and competition capacity improvement of commodity products. However, how to promote commercialization of research results from universities and colleges is still a difficult problem.
To have a realistic basis for building appropriate policies to support the commercialization of scientific and technological products from universities and colleges, Department for Market Development and Science and Technology Enterprises (Ministry of Science and Technology) cooperated with Ton Duc Thang University and Ha Noi High Tech Vocational College to organize a workshop on promoting commercialization of research results and supporting for innovation at universities and colleges.”
Attending the workshop, there were Mr. Tran Xuan Dich - Deputy Director of Market Development Department and Science and Technology Enterprise, Mr. Le Minh Khanh - Deputy Director of the Southern Work Department, leaders of departments, institutes and enterprises in and out of the city.
At the workshop, representatives of Ho Chi Minh National University, Ton Duc Thang University and College of Engineering II presented about the commercialization of research results at the unit and the existing difficulties.
The majority of participants said that the current need is to improve legal normative documents in order to build an appropriate legal framework and create an open and healthy playground for commercialization of research results. At the same time, Mr. Le Minh Khanh - Deputy Director of the Southern Work Department also stated that the role of the state is to provide supporting policies, to bridge the gap among universities, colleges and enterprises. It is the focal point for the development of the science and technology market. |
