According to Sao Mai Solar of Sao Mai Joint Stock Company, the advantage of solar power system is the saving of electricity bills, one-time investment for 25 years, deduct electricity surcharges, use electricity even there is no national grid (if the owner uses batteries) and it is environmentally friendly. Therefore, the application of solar energy system attracted many units, enterprises investment applications.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, deputy director of Can Tho Energy Conservation Center (ECC Can Tho), said that Can Tho City has a number of units and enterprises applying solar energy systems, such as the building of the City Department of Industry and Commerce, installed a solar grid model with a capacity of 3kWp (equivalent to about 15kWh electricity); Building of Learning Resource Center, CanTho University invested in solar grid system with a capacity of 1.9kWp; Vietnam - South Korea Industrial Technology Incubator and Nam Hai Export Foodstuff Limited Company in Tra Noc Industrial Park also invested in this system.

These are models of cooperation among businesses, units and suppliers of solar energy systems to assess the efficiency of solar energy use, contribute to reducing pollution, mitigating climate change, better meet the requirements of socio-economic development in the city.
