Announce Vietnam’s 6 famous trademarks
The Ministry of Science and Technology announced six well-known Vietnamese trademarks, such as Vinamilk, IKEA, Vinacafe, Nike, Petrolimex, Pham and Lien Danh.

In the morning of November 17, Ministry of Science and Technology and the International Trademark Association (INTA) announced the results of two years of implementing the project for protection of the well-known Vietnamese trademarks.

There are 8 trademarks involved in the project, including 5 domestic tramarks and 3 foreign trademarks. After reviewing the criteria, Organization Board selected and recognized 6 well-known trademarks, such as Vinamilk, IKEA, Vinacafe, Nike, Petrolimex, Pham and Lien Danh.

The famous Vietnamese trademark protection project is in the framework of the MoU signed by Ministry of Science and Technology and INTA signed in March 2015. The project board has five criteria for evaluating the trademark, including the level of awareness or recognition of the trademark of a relevant section of the public; the time, scale and geographic area of any use, promotion of the trademark image; the time and geographic area where the trademark was registered or handed in dossier; Successful dossiers of the trademark right and the value associated with the trademark.

Mrs. Nguyen Nhu Quynh, Deputy Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Science and Technology, said that this project has helped organizations and individuals have the most comprehensive view on the protection of well-known trademarks in Vietnam. "Enterprises rely on the results of their assessment to see how their famous trademarks are in Vietnam, are not they?" Said Quynh.
