According to the signing of a working session at the headquarters of the Singaporean Ministry of Law, IPOS will send experts to Vietnam to exchange experiences in promoting patent exploitation, promoting technology transfer and trading the intellectual property in the university and research institutes of Vietnam.
IPOS and NOIP will set up Specialist Working Groups of the two agencies on the examination of patent applications with the aim of accelerating the examination of patent applications submitted to Vietnam through the Registration for Patent Protection Under the PCT Treaty (PCT system).
In addition, two agencies also agreed to share information on each other's IPR policies and laws, statistics and IP data through the ASEAN IP Portal to facilitate the applicant.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister Chu Ngoc Anh especially praised Singapore for shifting the focus of registration to IP trade with industry businesses.
