Japan supported rapid appraisal of patent applications
The Japanese Patent Office (JPO) will help Vietnam National Office of Intellectual Property improve its capacity to handle industrial property applications.

Mr. Dinh Huu Phi and Mrs. Naoko Munakata signed a cooperation agreement between the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam and the Japanese Patent Office.

This is one of the contents in the working session of the Missions of Vietnam National Office of Intellectual Property, headed by Director Dinh Huu Phi with JPO on February 22 in Tokyo, Japan.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Dinh Huu Phi said that the Vietnam IPR system has received a lot of support from the Trust Fund for World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) - Japan. This enhances and improves the capacity as well as the information technology infrastructure of the NOIP, helping the NOIP in particular and the IP system in general to work more effectively. In particular, generations of officials working in the field of IPR have been trained under the auspices of the Fund.

On this occasion, Director Dinh Huu Phap requested the JPO continue to support the project to improve the capacity of the NOIP in the handling of industrial property applications through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and data recovery of project through WIPO - Japan Trust Fund.
