This partly shows the effectiveness of intellectual property support activities that Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology has actively implemented in the past time.

Apart from enterprises, representatives of agencies and units from other provinces in the region also attended the training.

According to statistics, digital economy estimation based on software-related innovations contributed over 22.5% to the global economy. R & D spending on software has grown rapidly from $ 86 billion in 2010 to $ 142 billion in 2015.

However, the registration and protection of inventions made by the software is relatively complex due to the technical and non-technical considerations, personal or commercial use. Therefore, this issue is selected by Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology as the main content of the training.

According to Mr. Pham Van Kien of the Patent Office No. 1, the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam, the patentees should register the protected subject in the form of technical solutions. If such solutions do not belong to the specified cases in Article 8 and Article 59 of the Intellectual Property Law, the likelihood of being accepted will be relatively high.
