Attending the opening ceremony with the presence of Mr. Vo Minh Loi - Deputy Director of Can Tho City Education and Training Department, Mr. Nguyen Huu Thanh Binh - Deputy Director of Information and Communication Department of Can Tho City, Mr. Huynh Xuan Hiep – Associate professor, Dr., Deputy Head of Information Technology and Communication Faculty - Can Tho University, Mr. Tran Hai Long - Deputy Secretary of the Can Tho City Union with students from 9 districts of Can Tho City.

Can Tho City Young Informatics Contest is organized to discover, gather and nurture young talents in informatics, promote the movement of learning, creativity and application of information technology in youths in the city, select and nurture City team to attend the 24th National Young Informatics Contest 2018.

Participants in the contest are students who are computer enthusiasts who attended primary, secondary and high schools in the city. The creative product test is a part of the contest to concretize the knowledge and computer skills of students to create models and products that can be applied in practice.

The best contestants of Can Tho City Computer Contest will participate in a training course to attend the 24th National Young Informatics Contest held in Ba Ria Vung Tau Province in August this year. This is a central and meaningful activity of Can Tho City in promoting and developing the movement of learning, creativity and application of information technology in the city children and youth.
