Recently, the Institute of Natural Products Chemistry (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology) handed over the research results of extracting KG1 from terrestrial plants for a business to produce health care products.

Business representatives said that when the research of KG1 of the leading scientists meet the criteria of the enterprise on the use of raw materials in the country, the unit decided to cooperate, to develop the article traditional medicine is a modern formulation, with scientific evidence.

The transfer of the right to use scientific research results of the project for business is one of many researches of the Academy of Science and Technology of Vietnam have the ability to develop and apply.

However, many scientists believe that there should be adequate legal corridors and mechanisms to facilitate technology transfer activities. In fact, there are cases where enterprises sign contracts to receive raw materials for functional food production from scientists, for a period of time they do not use the transferred materials but they buy from other cheap and low quality sources.
