According to Mr. Nguyen Van Tan, Deputy General Director of VNPT - Media Communications Corporation of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), this year in the category "Information Technology" (IT) of the prize will add the category "Startup IT Products" with the encouragement of innovation start-up projects in the form of ideas, sample products and need resources to develop.

Accordingly, VNPT will be the focal point to support startups using VNPT platforms such as AI (artificial intelligence), blockchain, VR (virtual reality) to help projects improve and develop products globally. This is also the goal that VNPT aims to bring Vietnamese intelligence to the world.

In 2019, the Vietnam Talent Award is expected to spread to Vietnamese intellectual community who are studying and researching all over the world. There are already a number of projects of overseas Vietnamese to register for the prize.
