Mr. Lam Vu My Hanh, Deputy Director of Department of Science and Technology Phu Yen and Nguyen Tri Phuong, Deputy Director of Phu Yen Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chairman of Phu Yen Fisheries Association co-chaired the workshop.

Attending the workshop, there were representatives of relevant departments and agencies; leader of Tuy An District People's Committee; leaders of People's Committees of An Cu, An Hiep, An Hoa, An Hai and An Ninh Dong communes; together with enterprises, organizations and individuals producing and trading O Loan swamp cockles.

The workshop is one of the important contents to manage and develop the geographical indication "O Loan" used for O Loan swamp oyster products; thereby affirming the reputation, protecting value and developing the O Loan brand of oysters for domestic and foreign consumers to raise income for residents around the swamp.

At the workshop, delegates listened to Mr. Le Minh Chau, Director of the Southern Center for Soil, Fertilizer and Environmental Research presenting the presentations: Regulation on management and use of geographical indications "O Loan" used for O Loan oyster products in Phu Yen province; Regulation on management and use of logos, stamps, cockle product labels bear geographical indication "O Loan"; Process of breeding, raising, exploiting and harvesting blood cockle products bear geographical indication "O Loan."

In the framework of the working session, the workshop also received many enthusiastic opinions, the responsibilities of the delegates on the Regulation on management of geographical indications "O Loan" used for O Loan cockle products in Phu Yen province.
