Ho Chi Minh City Union of Science and Technology Associations has officially announced to start receiving projects participating in the 26th Technical Innovation Contest for the 2019-2020. Accordingly, the award level of this competition will increase significantly thanks to the application of new financial mechanisms, approved by the 15th session of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council in July.
Accordingly, the author whose product won the first prize will be rewarded with 40 million VND (formerly 15 million VND), the second prize is 32 million VND (formerly 10 million VND), the third prize is 24 million VND (formerly 7 million VND), the consolation prize is 8 million VND (formerly 3 million VND).
Scientists who are the authors of technical solutions and applications of science and technology can apply for registration to participate in the Ho Chi Minh City Technical Innovation Contest from 2019-2020 so far to December 31 2020.
The 26th contest is divided into 7 areas including: Technology for smart cities; Electricity, electronics, information technology and telecommunications; Biotechnology, agriculture and food; Material technology, construction, irrigation and urban flood prevention; Environmental technology and new energy application; Health and education.
According to Associate Prof. Dr. Phan Minh Tan, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Union of Science and Technology Associations, the 26th contest this year has added the field of "Technology for smart cities."
This is an opportunity for scientists to offer technological solutions with high applicability, contributing to the construction of a smart city of Ho Chi Minh City.
The Organization Board comes up with 3 criteria groups to consider including: novelty and creativity, widespread applicability, economic and social efficiency. |
