In the morning of May 27, Ho Chi Minh City People's Council delegation had a meeting with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology on supervising the results of development of start-up ecosystem in the city.

The delegation was particularly impressed with the achievements that Ho Chi Minh City has achieved over the years, contributing to making Vietnam to become the country with the third largest startup ecosystem in Southeast Asia with Venture  investment capital in Vietnamese startups increased from $ 140 million  to nearly  $ 900 million for the period of 2015-2018.

Being the "home" of nearly 50% of domestic startups, Ho Chi Minh City is considered to be an important contributor to the fastest growing, creative and dynamic economy in Asia. The city has issued many policies for startup and innovation to promote a thriving ecosystem and become the cradle of the startup community across the country.
