Regional Research and Development Institute transfers technology to produce organic fertilizer from arrowroot wastes
Recently, the Regional Research and Development Institute of the Ministry of Science and Technology has signed a contract with Moc Huong enterprise in Cao Bang province, whereby the Institute committed to consulting, supporting and transferring the production process of organic fertilizer from arrowroot wastes, with a capacity of 1,000 tons / year, helping businesses handle wastes and by-products during the production of arrowroot products.


Arrowroot is one of the key plants in Cao Bang province.

Arrowroot is one of the key crops of Cao Bang province with the current area of over 600ha and is continuing to expand. The development of starch and starch products from arrowroot can bring high economic efficiency but also leave a large amount of wastes, if not treated, it will pollute the environment.

The process of producing organic fertilizer from arrowroot wastes by the Regional Research and Development Institute successfully researches from native microorganisms strains for nutritious products, helping plants grow well and ensuring safety and environmental sanitation.
