Speaking at the National Assembly meeting, discussing about socio-economy and state budget (June 13), Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam emphasized that after the Covid-19 epidemic passed, we need to implement 2 things below to continue promoting, after the last time of epidemic prevention and control.

Continuing to apply information technology to take advantage of revolutionary opportunity 4.0

Firstly, in the recent anti-epidemic campaign, the strong application of information technology to take advantage of the opportunity of the 4.0 revolution, a very big policy of the Party and the State, has been shown in a very dynamic way.

During the period of epidemic prevention and control, the work of the Government and the National Assembly was carried out normally and effectively without contact. The number of online public services serving the people has increased greatly.

The application of remote medical examination and treatment technology also helps us successfully treat not only Covid-19 cases at the district level, but also contributed to promoting remote treatment activities for other patients.

If Vietnam continues to promote the results and experiences gained in the past years, Vietnam will gain more specific results in implementing technology development projects, taking advantage of the opportunity of the 4.0 revolution.

The Deputy Prime Minister expected that these ideas and policies will continue to be promoted for economic, cultural and social development in remote, isolated and ethnic minority areas; helping the disadvantaged to rise up to be more focused in the future. This is a very wide field, we have tried for many years but it is time to pay more attention.
