This is the first information technology museum of Vietnam by Dr.. Nguyen Chi Cong's implementation was opened in early 2020.
Information Technology Museum of Dr. Cong exhibits more than 200 artifacts, images of nearly 1,000 artifacts that Dr. is keeping, including equipment and components from dozens of years ago that were used to make big "steps" in Vietnam, such as building networks or applying desktop publishing technology in printing and publishing in Vietnam. The exhibits selected also show the three areas of information technology development including electronics, informatics, telecommunications and the transition from analog to digital (digital).
Not only that, to show the development history of technology and "let people see what Vietnam has contributed and which parts of the world it is present" Dr. Cong reviewed the remarkable milestones of information technology in two panels dedicated to Vietnamese history (from 1960-2000) and world history (from BC to 1995). People who make contributions in this area like Prof. Ta Quang Buu, Prof. Phan Dinh Dieu, Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Binh Thanh, Prof. Vu Dinh Cu, and other individuals and groups were also honored at the museum to give visitors a better understanding of a "most important, fundamental stage" for the formation and development of IT field in Vietnam, at the same time, do not forget "the common people, the ordinary people, because if we do not see the role of ordinary people, we will never come to victory."
In the coming time, the museum will continue to carry out phase 2 with artifacts from 2000 onwards, and at the same time digitize the materials and equipment on display to make the experience at the museum more and more alive activities and better meet the public needs. |
