The event aims to implement the Prime Minister's Decision No.100 / QD-TTg dated January 19, 2019 approving the project of implementing this traceability system in this locality.

The workshop aims to propagandize to raise awareness of society, agencies, organizations and enterprises about traceability, creating favorable conditions for businesses to exchange, dialogue, share experiences about deploy, develop and apply solutions of traceability of products and goods, contributing to boosting production and business activities to support enterprise development in the province.

Mr. Phan Thien Dinh - Vice Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Tran Van Vinh - General Director of Directorate of Standards, Metrology and Quality with Mr. Ho Thang - Deputy Director in charge of Department of Science and Technology of Thua Thien Hue Province and Mr. Bui Ba Chinh - Deputy Director in charge of  Center National Barcode attended the workshop.

The National Center for Code and Barcodes assigned by the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality is the focal point for implementing Project 100 on traceability. Presenting at the workshop, Mr. Bui Ba Chinh shared current traceability solutions and traceability management model in the coming time.

Thereby, there have been objective assessments on the limitations of traceability solutions currently being applied and the management's orientation in developing a traceability management model when implementing the Project 100 in the near future.

The workshop also recorded many opinions of the authorities in the province, the provincial business association, the providers of solutions for traceability and representatives of participating businesses. The workshop marked an important preparation step of Thua Thien Hue province in promoting the application of traceability technology in the province in the coming time.
