group of processing and preserving agriculture, forestry and fisheries (rice paper, fresh vermicelli, dried noodles, steamed fish, brewing wine, spring rolls ...); group of production of construction materials, wooden products, rattan, ceramics, glass, textiles (weaving, mats, tapering of conical hats and cloth hats); group producing handicrafts (lacquer, bronze casting, wood carving and etc); group of planting and trading ornamental animals (flowers, ornamental plants and etc); the group organizion of vocational training, vocational transmission, production consultancy (mushrooms, ornamental plants - bonsai and etc).
With the system of policies to encourage the development of rural industries more and more complete, especially since the Government issued Decree No. 66/2006 / ND-CP of July 7, 2006, on development of rural industries, many the traditional professions of Ho Chi Minh City have been restored and developed such as: rattan, bamboo, pottery and etc. Many new professions have been expanded such as processing agricultural products, foodstuffs, cultivating ornamental animals and etc.
In which, there are 4 typical rural industry products: dried pineapple fish in Can Gio, Cu Chi dried fishes, Can Gio oat nets, Long Hoa sand mango (Can Gio) have been invested to develop with too big scale. With dried pineapple fish there are 66 processing facilities with 240 employees. Dried fish (concentrated in Phuoc Hiep commune) has 7 households, with an output of about 80 tons / year. Can Gio oat nests have 231 households, the average exploitation output reaches 5.4 tons / year. Long Hoa sand mango with 535 households, 235 ha, the average yield of 1,500 tons / year.
In order for rural industries to develop, the city will invest in building and putting into operation the introduction points, selling typical local products associated with the existing tourist routes in Cu Chi and Can Gio. In addition, the city will promulgate mechanisms and policies to encourage development of key agricultural products and typical village products and rural industries. |
