The Covid-19 pandemic has strongly affected the lives, jobs, learning and labor of all agencies, organizations and people worldwide. However, Vietnam is one of the few countries to control almost entirely the epidemic, the economy forecasting the highest positive growth in the region and the continent, a rare bright spot of the world.

At the National Digital Transformation Program to 2025, the 2030 recently approved Prime Minister has the following main goals: Towards the digital Government, by 2025, our country will have 100% of the national database being completed, connected and shared nationwide, Vietnam is among the top 70 countries in e-Government (EGDI).

Regarding digital economy, Vietnam aims at the group of 50 leading information technology (IDI) countries, the digital economy accounts for 20% of GDP and the annual labor productivity increases at least 7%. Regarding digital society, Vietnam aims to have over 50% of the population have electronic payment accounts; Universalize 4G / 5G mobile network services and smart phones and our country is in the group of 40 leading countries on network safety and security (GCI).

However, these goals are also extremely challenging at present, according to a survey of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) with 2,659 enterprises in 18 industry groups on readiness access to the fourth industrial revolution, 82% of the enterprises are in the new position of entry, 61% are still on the sidelines and 21% of enterprises have just started to "join".

The average score is only 0.53 (compared to the level of 5 points), corresponding to the first readiness level is 0, or no preparation yet. It can be seen that the shift of digital transformation in Vietnam is happening relatively slowly, most agencies and organizations are not sure where to start, even though we have approached the trend in technologically equivalent to the world.

Mr. Truong Gia Binh, President of VINASA, said that digital transformation is considered a vital issue of businesses in the current context. Vietnam, we have many advantages, fast digital conversion, seizing the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will help us take a big step in the international arena.

In order to strongly promote the digital transformation process in agencies, organizations, enterprises and the whole Vietnamese economy, in the 11-12 August, 2020 in Hanoi, VINASA will organize the digital Transition Day 2020 (DX Day Vietnam). The program has been identified as a key annual activity of VINASA since 2020 and is defined as a large-scale event.
