Viettel operates a high-performance computing system
Viettel's high-performance computing system reaches 20 PetaFlops (20 million billion calculations per second), "allowing Viettel to unleash its creativity, attract leading experts in AI, ready to take on the big tasks of the country about AI."

Viettel Cyberspace Center has officially operated the high-performance computing system at Viettel Data Center.

The system invested by Viettel has the leading computing performance in Vietnam, reaching 20 PetaFlops (20 million billion calculations per second), which reduces the time to train machine learning dozens of times. As a result, Viettel Cyber Center can train many models at the same time, with high complexity. This system also trains continuous model improvement, shortening the time to improve the quality of AI models.

The supercomputer invested by Viettel uses computational acceleration technologies, switching devices and synchronous software, similar to the technology of supercomputers in the Top 500 in the world.

As the national security and defense enterprise, possessing the largest telecommunications and information technology infrastructure in the country, Viettel aims to play a key role in applying artificial intelligence in the military and defense sectors, as well as in other fields, domains of data safety and network security safety; urban management, social management and public administration, and areas of social life.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Chien - Deputy General Director of Viettel Group - assessed: "Viettel is determined to invest in artificial intelligence, which is an important field to carry out its pioneering and key mission  to creating a digital society. This investment will allow Viettel to unleash its creativity, attract leading experts in AI, ready to take on the country's big tasks in AI."

According to Anish Pandey, ASEAN vertical director at NVIDIA - the world's leading Artificial Intelligence computing company, "The high-performance computing system will enable Viettel to create new revenue opportunities and be global pioneer in the use of AI solutions."
