On this day 58 years ago, on May 18, 1963, at one of the historically significant events of science and technology, the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Association for the Dissemination of Science and Technology, President Ho Chi Minh said: "Science must come from production and must return to serve production, to serve the people, to improve labor productivity, and to constantly improve people's lives." His teaching is also the goal and missions that our Party and State have set for science and technology in the country.

Fifty years after President Ho Chi Minh declared the mission of Vietnam's science and technology, May 18 every year is officially chosen as Science and Technology Day for society and the community to cherish honoring the creative labor and dedication of the scientific and technological force. The message of this year's Science and Technology Day: Science, technology and innovation - Arousing aspirations, creating the future is also a message of pride, belief and expectation of the whole society for the knowledge, talent and creative labor of the team of people working in science and technology.
