On May 27, 2021, the Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho city established a council to appraise the budget of the city-level humanities and social science project "The work of mobilizing and managing the Khmer people to protect the Khmer people, security and order in the area of Can Tho city.” The study is carried out by Lieutenant Colonel, MSc. Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Can Tho City Police is in charge of implementation.

The objective of the project is to mobilize the masses to play an important role in building and grasping the grassroots, especially for ethnic minorities. Determining that mass mobilization to protect security and order for Khmer people in Can Tho city plays an important role in police work, so the project will aim at specific goals: assess the current situation of mass mobilization to protect security and order for Khmer people in Can Tho city (1); forecast the negative development trend of security and order for Khmer people in Can Tho city (2); propose solutions to improve the effectiveness of mass mobilization for Khmer people in Can Tho city.
The project will focus on studying the main contents, including: clarifying relevant issues, affecting the work of mobilizing Khmer people to protect security and order in Can Tho city (1); assessing the current situation of mobilizing the Khmer people to protect security and order in the area of Can Tho city (2); forecast the mobilization of the Khmer people to protect security and order in the area of Can Tho city (3); propose specific solutions and recommendations (4).
The Council, through discussions and comments, agreed on the content and level of funding to implement the project according to the State's regulations. |
