Study on the rate of restenosis, lesion characteristics, risk factors for restenosis after percutaneous coronary intervention with drug-eluting stents in coronary artery disease patients in Can Tho city
In the afternoon of September 14, 2022, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology established a team to evaluate the content and funding to implement the project "Research on re-stenosis rate, injury characteristics, risk factors for Re-stenosis after percutaneous coronary intervention with drug-eluting stents in coronary artery disease patients in Can Tho city”. The appraisal team is led by Mrs. Tran Hoai Phuong, Deputy Director of Can Tho City Department of Science and Techhology. The study is carried out by Specialist 2 Vo Viet Thang. Can Tho Central General Hospital is a presiding implementation agency.

Overview of the meeting

The purpose of the study was to determine the rate of restenosis after percutaneous coronary intervention with drug-eluting stents in patients with chronic coronary artery disease; Survey characteristics of restenosis lesions after percutaneous coronary intervention with drug-eluting stents in patients with chronic coronary artery disease; Exploring the risk factors associated with restenosis after percutaneous coronary intervention with drug-eluting stents in patients with chronic coronary artery disease.

Appraisal team

The content of the implementation includes: Determine the rate of restenosis, the characteristics of the remodeling lesions and the degree of re-stenosis of the coronary arteries in and around the stent at the time of clinical symptoms or 24±2 months after surgery pharmacological stenting interventions in patients with chronic coronary artery disease; To determine the relationship between cardiovascular risk factors and specification with the incidence of intra- and peri-stent stenosis in patients with coronary artery disease.

The project implemented will help improve the quality of treatment at the hospital, contributing to reducing the load on health care providers and medical levels in the region. Create trust of patients, increase the rate of on-site examination and treatment by patients, reduce treatment costs for the people, create a balanced distribution of health resources among regions, and create a premise for the development of the sustainable and effective health care system of the country's health sector.
