The workshop is an important event within the framework of Ho Chi Minh City's Innovation and Digital Transformation Week in 2022 with the theme "Digital transformation - a new driving force for the city's development."

In Ho Chi Minh City, one of the issues that businesses are interested in in recent years for S&T activities at enterprises is the extraction and use of effective digital transformation services from the S&T Development Fund of enterprises still ensure compliance with regulations as in Joint Circular No. 12/2016/TTLT-BKHCN-BTC dated June 28, 2016 of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Finance on guiding the content of expenditure and management of the Science and Technology Development Fund of enterprises and Circular No. 05/2022/TT-BKHCN dated May 31, 2022 of the Ministry of Science and Technology on guiding the use of S&T Development Fund of enterprises.

According to the Department's statistics, up to now, in the city, there are about 124 businesses that have set up the Fund to deposit with a total amount of more than 4,400 billion VND, the amount of money spent using the Fund is over 1,353 billion VND (accounting for 30,7% billion VND). According to Mrs. Hai, this number has not met the City's expectations, the number of businesses establishing the Fund is not commensurate with the size of enterprises in the city, the benefits of the Fund have not been spread and attracted the attention of the business community.
