Attending the training session, there were Mr. Ha Minh Hiep - Deputy Director in charge of the Directorate of Standards, Metrology and Quality, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoi - Director of the Standards Department, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Mai Huong - Department of Standards and Conformity Assessment, and representatives units under the Directorate.

On the USAID TFP side, there were Mr. Claudio Dordi - USAID TPF Project Manager, Mr. Glenn Bosmans - International Expert on National Standardization Strategy (NSS), Mr. Kees R.Jonkheer - International NSS Expert.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director in charge of the Directorate Ha Minh Hiep said that the Directorate of Standards, Metrology and Quality has a history of 60 years of establishment and development, with about 1,800 civil servants and public employees and employees working, must continue to innovate strongly in line with international trends, need technical support from outside, especially the support of the USAID TPF Project. In 2021, the Directorate of Standards, Metrology and Quality has raised two issues, namely the National Standardization Strategy and the National Quality Infrastructure. Two issues seem very new but not new, the new point is about awareness and access, and vice versa, the new point is that this issue has been done for 60 years. USAID TFP as well as a number of other organizations have also supported the Directorate of Standards, Metrology and Quality.
