At the ceremony, the Organization Board honored 28 examples of "Typical Farmers of Ho Chi Minh City"; 28 individuals and units with typical agricultural products of Ho Chi Minh City in 2021 and 77 individuals are proposed to be awarded the Medal "For the Vietnamese peasant class" in 2022.

At the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai said: “This is a meaningful and practical activity, encouraging staffs and members of the City Farmers' Union to continue to emulate efficient production and business, promote the tradition of solidarity, help each other get rich, reduce poverty sustainably, well implement the policy of the city, take the people's strength, take care of the people, strengthen the reputable brand to participate in expanding and developing the market, building and developing a collective economic model, operating effectively to meet the needs of the campaign to restructure agriculture and rural labor in the direction of industrialization and modernization.

In order to realize the goal of agricultural development in the city towards a modern and sustainable urban area associated with agricultural restructuring and new rural construction, Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai, suggested that the Ho Chi Minh City Farmers Association continue to focus on Center for effective implementation of guidelines and solutions proposed by the Party, Government, City Party Committee and People's Committee, focusing on the agricultural development program for the period of 2019 - 2025 in the direction of restructuring and accelerate the transformation of the city's agricultural structure; Program on development of plant varieties, animals and hi-tech agriculture in the city in the period of 2020 – 2030; The collective economic development plan in Ho Chi Minh City in the period of 2021 - 2025; The implementation plan supports the introduction of agricultural production households on the e-commerce platform, promotes the digital economy of agriculture and rural areas, and ensures the supply of essential goods, etc., in order to create a new driving force in agricultural development, farmers, rural areas, forming a generation of farmer members with innovative thinking, self-reliance, self-reliance, aspiration to turn the country into a socialist-oriented developed country.
