In the afternoon of October 20, the Ministry of Science and Technology coordinated with the People's Committee of Can Tho City to close the Innovation and Startup Festival in the Mekong Delta 2022 (Techfest Mekong 2022).

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Director of Can Tho city Department of Science and Technology  Ngo Anh Tin said that through the event, organizations, businesses, individuals, experts and investors about startups together with state management agencies exchanged and shared views and perspectives from many different angles. This will be a new energy source, a new vitality source for the innovation startup ecosystem in the Mekong Delta in the near future.

In addition, with a strong spread through communication in many forms, the number of startup products participating in this year's exhibition and display increased sharply with more than 500 products from 13 localities in the Mekong Delta, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and etc. The products are well-invested and have innovation, quality improvement, creativity in design and eye-catching. The event attracted over 3,500 attendees and 20 startups were committed to invest with a total investment of about $1.2 million.

On this occasion, the Organization Board also announced the final results of the Can Tho City Innovation Startup Talent Contest in 2022. Accordingly, the excellent Rb_Calcite hydrophobic seed project won the first prize, the fragrant Candle project won the first prize from lotus won the second prize, the project of products from coffee grounds won the third prize; The project of Air purifier with moss combined with 4.0 technology and the project of Multi-field business on the river won the consolation prize.
