Within the framework of activities to celebrate World Intellectual Property Day, the National Office of Intellectual Property (Ministry of Science and Technology) coordinated with the Vietnam Women's Intellectuals Association and related units to organize the Seminar "Some intellectual property issues at universities - research institutes – enterprises."
Deputy Director of the National Office of Intellectual Property Tran Le Hong said that in Vietnam, science and technology is one of eight areas of the national goal of gender equality. Women are increasingly making great contributions to scientific research, thereby contributing to the development of the country's economy. However, the gender gap in scientific research, innovation and especially the registration of intellectual property rights is still a problem for both Vietnam and other countries around the world.
At the Seminar, many experts and businesses jointly discussed a number of challenges and difficulties in cooperation between female scientists and enterprises; introduce documents on skills in negotiation and cooperation between female scientists and enterprises; training courses for female intellectuals and businesses in the coming time; register for protection in foreign countries, thereby finding solutions to effectively manage and exploit the commercialization of intellectual property between female scientists, domestic enterprises and foreign partners. |
