Attending the workshop, there were the Danish Ambassador to Vietnam; Representative of the Department of Legal Affairs, Department of Seas and Islands, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment; Representatives of leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of leaders of provincial departments, representatives of leaders of People's Committees of districts, towns and coastal cities, representatives of leaders of associations; expert scientists inside and outside the province; Equipment supply businesses and media agencies attended and reported on the workshop; Mr. Luong Thanh Son - Chairman of the Union of Science and Technology Associations, Mr. Do Van Thai - Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment and representatives of CIP Group co-chaired the workshop.
Coming to the workshop, there were 10 presentations, 06 reports were introduced, the presentations analyzed and clarified the potential of marine resources, priority directions for developing the province's marine economy; Introducing the offshore wind power industry and the socio-economic benefits of offshore wind power brings; orienting marine and coastal space planning to serve the province's marine economic development; Development prospects of the province's offshore wind power industry; Developing offshore wind power in parallel with other marine economic and resource exploitation activities; Ability to provide services for offshore wind power auxiliary equipment.
In addition to the introduced presentations, the workshop further clarified the comparative advantages of the province's offshore waters in investing in wind power, problems and obstacles; assess conflicts in marine resource use between sectors (maritime, fisheries, gasoline activities, marine tourism, other ecosystems); Orientation for harmonious resolution of conflicts; issues of management and protection of the marine environment and ocean plastic wastes. Besides, the workshop also raised some solutions for sustainable development of the province's marine economy.
With the results exchanged at the workshop, there are many issues that need to be implemented to develop the province's marine economy in a sustainable direction, such as early promulgation of legal documents on wind power surveys at sea, completing the national marine spatial planning, master planning for sustainable exploitation and use of coastal resources, etc. Surely in the coming time, these issues will be gradually completed by the authorities regulate and create conditions for marine economic development, including offshore wind power. |
