In the context of an increasingly aging population and increasing rates of chronic diseases, such as hypertension and diabetes in the elderly, both conditions require continuous monitoring for effective management, reduce the risk of complications. However, currently, many elderly people have difficulty moving to medical facilities, due to reduced mobility or lack of transportation. Meanwhile, medical facilities are not able to meet the regular monitoring needs of patients.
Therefore, promoting the development and deployment of remote monitoring technologies is an important step and should be a top priority in current health policy. This not only helps reduce the burden on the health system but also increases access to quality health services for the elderly, while minimizing the risk of infection in the hospital environment.
