The champion of this year's competition belongs to the E-MOTION group with the project "Converting regular wheelchairs into electric wheelchairs". This is the result of collaboration between five students from Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, International University and University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City National University.

The project was born with the purpose of upgrading conventional wheelchairs into electric wheelchairs, through the solution of integrating the battery system and electric motor into the frame. This motor is specially designed to be installed in any normal wheelchair model, helping disabled people move comfortably without using hand force. The customers targeted by the group implementing this startup project are people with disabilities who have an average income, own traditional wheelchairs, and work in jobs that require a lot of movement, such as selling lottery tickets and street vending, and etc.

Saving costs, increasing flexibility, and improving the quality of life for people with disabilities are what the students participating in this project are interested in. So far, the basic product has been completed; However, the team said they will continue to edit and add some features to increase convenience for users. It is expected that the finished product will be launched in the first quarter of 2025. "Creating a simple joint mechanism so that any disabled person can operate their vehicle on their own will increase safety for users."
