At Bidiphar, reporting on the company's operations, Bidiphar General Director Pham Thi Thanh Huong said that since its establishment (in 1980) up to now, the Company has been supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology to carry out many S&T tasks at the national level. Research results have been transferred into production, such as successful research on antibiotic injections, antibiotic and amino acid infusion solutions, application of freeze-drying technology to produce special treatment drugs, and drug production of cancer treatment. Recently, Bidiphar has been recognized as a S&T enterprise.
In the coming time, Bidiphar will focus on producing cancer treatment drugs (pills, targeted drugs, biotechnology drugs), dialysis solutions (continuous dialysis solutions, combined with creatine in blood dialysis, protein supplements for patients), antibiotics and special medications (eye drops, cardiovascular drugs, diabetes, and etc.). In addition, completing investment in a small volume aseptic factory according to GMP-REU standards, an OSD Non-Betalactam drug factory according to GMP-REU standards...
General Director Bidiphar proposed that the Ministry of Science and Technology have policies to support businesses in receiving technologies not yet available in Vietnam; create a mechanism for businesses to receive and transfer research results from institutes and schools; Support pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical industry topics/projects according to the pharmaceutical industry development strategy; expand the purpose of using the enterprise's Science and Technology Development Fund in investment activities in drug production machinery, product quality control, and etc.; There are detailed instructions on handling products and assets formed after performing science and technology tasks.
Deputy Minister Tran Hong Thai highly appreciated the results achieved by Bidiphar, and expressed confidence that with the dynamism and creativity of the leadership and young staffs, Bidiphar will soon achieve the proposed plans. Besides traditional products, Bidiphar needs to research and develop new, high-quality products (including radiopharmaceuticals), to meet the increasing demands of the market.
