Promoting access to and use of clean energy through the development of TCVN on energy storage batteries

By developing TCVN standards, we not only create a safer environment for the implementation of standards development on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in Vietnam, but also promote greater access and use of clean energy on a global scale.

Dr. Vu Van Dien - Standards Expert of the Institute for Research and Development of Quality Standards - Head of the BESS project informed at the first consultation meeting within the framework of technical support activities to develop a set of national standards (TCVN) on Energy Storage Battery Systems in Vietnam, on developing TCVN, based on the Law on Technical Standards and Regulations 2006; Decree No. 127/2007/ND-CP dated August 1, 2007; Decree No. 78/2018/ND-CP on amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 127/2007/ND-CP; Circular No. 11/2021/TT-BKHCN on detailing the development and application of standards;
Decision No. 22/2007/QD-BKHCN regulations on organization and operation of the National Technical Standards Board; TCVN 1-1: 2008 Standards development - Part 1: Procedure for developing national standards by the National Technical Standards Board; TCVN 1-2: 2008 Standards development - Part 2: Regulations on presentation and expression of national standards.
TCVN 6709-1 : 2007 (ISO/IEC Guide 21-1: 2005) Adoption of international standards and other ISO, IEC standards as national or regional standards - Part 1: Adoption of ISO and IEC international standards. TCVN 6709-2 : 2007 (ISO/IEC Guide 21-2: 2005) Adoption of international standards and other ISO, IEC documents as national or regional standards - Part 2: Adoption of other ISO and IEC documents.
The development of standards must ensure the improvement of the quality and efficiency of socio-economic activities, and the competitiveness of products, goods and services in the domestic and international markets. Thereby, meeting the requirements of safety, national security, hygiene, human health, the rights and legitimate interests of relevant parties, protecting animals, plants, the environment and rationally using natural resources. |
