Organization Board awarded First Prize to the authors who won the Science and Technology Journalism Award 2023
The time for receiving works starts from August 6 to December 31, 2024. Press agencies and authors directly send works to the Standing Agency of the Award by post or email with the Registration Form certified by the publishing agency.
The Science and Technology Journalism Award is organized annually by the Ministry of Science and Technology to honor authors with outstanding journalism works on science and technology; raise awareness of the whole society about the role and impact of science and technology in socio-economic development, contributing to promoting communication work on science and technology activities.
At the same time, create motivation and movement to develop communication work on science and technology, contribute to quickly bringing research results into life and production and business; share successful experiences in communication on science and technology.
After 12 years of organization and implementation, on November 20, 2023, the Minister of Science and Technology issued Decision No. 2644/QD-BKHCN amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Regulations on awarding the "Journalism Award on Science and Technology."
One of the new points of Decision No. 2644/QD-BKHCN is that for the first time, the Science and Technology Journalism Award considers awarding categories of photojournalism. Journalistic works that have won the National Journalism Award and awards from central ministries and branches are not eligible to participate in the Award.
According to the Regulations, journalistic works considered for the Award are those that are truly exemplary and best meet the Award's criteria.
The work includes content on science and technology activities; discovers and proposes ideas to promote science and technology development; introduces typical science and technology achievements; outstanding science and technology activities of ministries, branches and localities; commends outstanding collectives and individuals with contributions to science and technology activities.
The work must ensure timeliness, objectivity, honesty, standards and science; have a positive impact on social life, and attract public attention.
Journalistic works on science and technology participating in the Award must be published from January 1 to December 31 of the year of the Award. |
