Prof. Dr. Chu Hoang Ha - Vice President of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology spoke at the launching ceremony of Tran Dai Nghia Award 2025.
The award is to honor individual scientists with truly outstanding applied scientific work. Scientists who receive the award are recognized not only by the domestic scientific community but also by the international scientific community as having made outstanding contributions to science.
The scope of the Award includes the following fields of natural sciences and technology: Mathematics; Mechanics; Information and Computer Sciences; Physics; Chemistry; Life Sciences; Earth Sciences; Marine Sciences; Environmental and Energy Sciences. Works participating in the Award must be published in prestigious international scientific journals or granted intellectual property rights at home and abroad.
On the other hand, scientific works must be organized and applied in Vietnam by the author, and must be recognized as having contributed or having the potential to contribute to bringing great economic, social, security and defense benefits to the country.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Prof. Dr. Chu Hoang Ha, Vice President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, said that in previous editions (in 2016 and 2019), the Award Council had awarded 6 awards to honor 14 scientists with the most outstanding achievements in natural sciences and technology. These works span many fields, cover a wide range of applications and continue to exist, develop and improve to this day.
This is a clear, authentic and objective proof that the quality of the nominated works has good practical applications for socio-economic development, national defense and security. From this event, scientists, teachers, professors, doctors... will be shining examples to spread to generations of young scientists, accelerate the application of science and technology, contributing to the country's development based on science and technology.
The Standing Agency of the Award will receive applications from October 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024. The Specialized Scientific Council will review and select the best applications of each specialty and propose to the Award Council for consideration and decision on awarding the award. |
