In the morning of August 28, 2024, at Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, Mr. Le Thanh Minh - Deputy Director of the Department had a meeting and worked with the delegation of the Department of Science and Technology of Quang Ninh province led by Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Director of the Department; Ms. Vu Thi Kim Chi - Deputy Director of the Department and representatives of some specialized departments of Department attended. Joining the leaders of the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - Chief of Office of the Department; Ms. Huynh Luu Thanh Giang - Head of the Department of Technology Management and Technology Market; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Suong - Acting Head of the Department of Science Management; Ms. Phan Thi Quy Truc and Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Nhung - Deputy Heads of the Natation Officeof Intellectual Property Management and Innovation; Ms. Dang Thi Luan - Deputy Director in charge of the Center  Science and Technology Advances Application Department and specialists of the department.

At the meeting, Mr. Le Thanh Minh - Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City introduced new information on the policy and orientation to build and develop Ho Chi Minh City into a national center for innovation and start-up; introduced an overview of the innovation ecosystem and the world's evaluation indexes for this ecosystem. In addition, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology also introduced the potentials, strengths, and new orientations in the construction and development of the science and technology sector, especially the innovation ecosystem of the City at present and in the future.

Also at the meeting, representatives of Departments and Centers under the Department shared many issues related to the coordination between the Department and units in the process of developing the City's innovation ecosystem, incubation programs, and support from the Department and the City for the field of scientific and technological research in the City.

In addition, the digital transformation tasks serving the state management of science, technology and innovation of the City, the Department is also deploying the operation and testing of the "Science and technology task management system" and "Online platform to support innovation activities in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC Open Innovation Platform - H.OIP)" and is completing the order content "Developing an online platform for community initiatives" and "Building tools to update and digitize databases on radioactive sources, radiation equipment and activities related to radioactive source security activities, responding to radiation incidents".
