Mr. Nguyen Khanh Tung - Deputy Head of the Technology Development Department, Department of Technology Development and Innovation, added that since 2018, the Government has issued Decision No. 1851, approving the project "Promoting technology transfer, mastery and development from abroad to Vietnam in priority sectors and fields for the period up to 2025, with a vision to 2030".
According to Mr. Tung, in the process of implementing the program "Searching and transferring foreign technology until 2030", the Department of Technology Development and Innovation has built a number of technology maps in Vietnam, such as rice breeding and production; genes; agricultural mechanics, automobiles; internet of things, stem cells, human vaccine production, production of electronic materials and components, semiconductors, production of technical plastics and 3D printing technology, ... From there, a roadmap is built, helping businesses have a basis for technological innovation in each field.
In order to make the application, technology transfer and innovation activities in the Southern region in particular and the whole country in general practical and effective, in the coming time, the Department of Technology Development and Innovation will proactively coordinate with the Departments of Science and Technology to implement a number of specific tasks, such as supporting localities to strengthen connections, research cooperation, and technology transfer with countries and territories, through domestic technology organizations and the network of Vietnamese science and technology representatives abroad.

Through the practical implementation of the models, Ms. Dang Thi Hong Yen, Director of the Center for Applied Research and Science and Technology Services (Department of Science and Technology of Tien Giang), said that it is necessary to create and maintain successful pilot models of applying new technologies, then evaluate, adjust and replicate the models to spread in the communit y.In addition, she proposed building online connection platforms for people, businesses, and science and technology organizations to easily exchange information and cooperate.
