The signing ceremony took place under the witness of General Secretary To Lam and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. This event not only affirms the close cooperation between the two countries on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations (1955-2025) but also opens a new chapter for future cooperation programs in science and technology.

Both Vietnam and Indonesia recognize that science, technology and digital transformation will be important drivers to achieve breakthrough growth in the coming period. At the working session before the signing ceremony, the two sides discussed specific cooperation contents and possibilities, identified the goal of overcoming the middle-income trap and striving to become a high-income developed country by 2045. These orientations show a strong consensus on the importance of science and technology for the socio-economic development of both countries.

The cooperation program will focus on expanding links between research institutes, universities and innovation and startup centers of both sides. Minister Nguyen Manh Hung and Minister Brian Yuliarto agreed to prioritize the implementation of research programs and technology applications in economic sectors, while promoting investment and mobilizing resources for the development of science and technology in both countries. This consensus promises to create many sustainable development opportunities for both Vietnam and Indonesia in the coming time.
