The conference was presided by Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan - Secretary of the City Party Committee, Mr. Huynh Vinh Khanh - Chairman of the City People's Committee and Mr. Nguyen Van Thuong - Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee.

With the theme "Universalizing digital infrastructure and innovating digital applications to develop the digital economy", in 2024, the city focused on three main pillars: Digital government, digital economy and digital society, bringing many positive results to people's lives and urban development.

In 2024, Ben Tre had completed 100% of administrative procedures eligible for online public services, with 79 partially online public services and 214 fully online public services. At the same time, the city also built the IOC Smart Operations Center, helping to optimize management and operations. In the digital economy sector, about 1,869 businesses and business households have used digital signatures and electronic invoices, while the OCOP program has recognized 16 products with 3 stars or more, creating motivation for businesses to develop and expand their markets.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan highly appreciated the achievements of the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation in 2024, and emphasized the key tasks for 2025. He called for determination and responsibility from each member of the Steering Committee, with the goal of raising awareness of digital transformation throughout society. Measures to be implemented include policy dissemination, promoting the use of online public services, cashless payments, and digitization of priority sectors, such as education, healthcare, and agriculture. On this occasion, the City People's Committee also awarded three groups and five individuals for their outstanding achievements in digital transformation in 2024.
