Many vegetables and fruits that seem healthy actually contain high levels of starch and natural sugars, which can spike blood sugar if consumed improperly.


Vegetables and fruits are always considered healthy foods. However, not all of them are suitable for everyone, especially those who are monitoring their blood sugar levels.
Here are some vegetables and fruits that increase blood sugar levels: Pumpkin, carrots, potatoes, lotus root and peas.
Therefore, people with diabetes need to control the amount of vegetables and fruits in their diet to avoid negative effects on their health.
