Training human resources to meet the AI era
The artificial intelligence (AI) market in Vietnam is growing strongly, expected to increase from 470 million USD in 2022 to 1,520 million USD in 2030.

Delegates discussed at the workshop.

One of the key factors driving this growth is the young population and the ability of the Vietnamese workforce to access technology, creating favorable conditions for the application of AI in many fields, especially in education. At the workshop "ICT Education in the AI Era" organized by the University of Information Technology, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with FISU Vietnam on April 19, experts discussed new educational trends and the application of AI in ICT education.

During the workshop, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tu Anh, Rector of the University of Information Technology, emphasized the important role of AI in changing the way of training and applying technology in education. The experts in attendance analyzed the practical applications of AI, from training linked to businesses to improving foreign language skills and university management. Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Thuy also emphasized that the ICT industry needs to change dramatically to lead the transformation of society, towards a sustainable future with the presence of AI.

According to forecasts, with the rate of Internet and social network usage in Vietnam reaching nearly 77 million users by 2023, accounting for more than 79% of the population, AI is not only a trend but also a decisive factor in promoting the country's digital economy. It is expected that by 2030, generative AI will contribute about 14,000 billion VND to Vietnam's digital economy. Through the workshop, the Organization Committee hopes to build a useful forum, promoting cooperation among universities, businesses and research organizations at home and abroad, in order to enhance the potential for developing information technology and AI in education.
